![]() My session with the scanner was short and non technical so I can’t give you any further details at this stage. I look forward to testing all the listed formats, neg, BW and transparency. The 3200 comes with three film holders, a two strips of six frames film holder, 35mm mounted slide holder and a medium format (6x45, 6圆, 6x7, 6x9) with 5x4 holder. The 3200 has a 3.4D for transparencies (you don't need more than 2.0 for reflective sacns) The 3200 produced scans which visually looked better than those from my dedicated film scanner (Nikon LS 2000). Sharpness and colours were hard to believe, generally 35mm film scans from a flatbed scanner leave a lot to be desired, they always seem half hearted at best, but good enough for presentations and web work. I scanned in a 35mm transparency at the full optical resolution of 3200, which produced a file size of approx 39.9 mb. I don’t often get excited about new gear, but this scanner has totally blown me away. To say that this scanner is fantastic would be an understatement. I have just had my first hands on experience with the new Epson 3200 scanner. ![]()
